GPS Map Camera for Android (com.neutrosolutions.freegpscamera) · Effective 24 October 2026

1. Overview

GPS Map Camera stamps photos and videos with your location, address, map, weather and time. It is free, has no ads and needs no account.

Your photos and videos stay on your phone. They only leave it when you send them yourself (for example to WhatsApp) or attach one to a feedback message. We never sell data.

This policy explains what the app sends off your phone, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.

2. Location (GPS permission)

  • The stamp is written into the photo on your phone, using your phone’s location.
  • To draw the stamp, the coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (weather) and to Google Maps (map tile). The address is looked up with your phone’s geocoder.
  • While the app is open it sends your current position and its accuracy to our server for an anonymous live map of active users. That record is deleted after 24 hours.
  • If you allow it in the app, your area is also used to send you notifications meant for that area.
  • Usage statistics carry your position rounded to about 1 km, plus city, region and country.
  • The app does not track your location in the background.

3. Camera, microphone and photos

  • Camera: to take the photo or video you ask for.
  • Microphone: only to record sound into your own video (optional).
  • Photos: to save stamped photos to your gallery and show them in the app.

4. Usage statistics and crash reports

To fix crashes and improve the app we use Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and our own server (hosted on Google Cloud). They receive: screens opened and features used; start-up, camera and GPS timings; device model and Android version; app version and language; network type; crash logs; and a random id created by the app.

You can turn usage statistics off in the app. Crash reports stay on so we can fix errors.

5. How you found the app

When you install the app from a link (including links on this website), Google Play passes us the link’s campaign values (for example “shared from the app”, “website” or a stamp-setup code). We store them with the random install id to count which channels bring new users.

6. Sharing your stamp setup

If you tap “Share my setup”, your stamp settings, including the custom note text if you wrote one, are stored on our server under a short code so others can apply them. Do not put private information in the note before sharing. Language, location and identity are never part of a setup.

7. Feedback and support

Sending feedback creates a support ticket on our server with your message, an email address if you give one, photos if you attach them (stored on Cloudflare R2), app and Android version, device model, language and the random install id. Our replies reach you as a notification (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

Ticket text may be processed by Google Gemini to suggest a reply. It is not used to train AI models.

8. Tips and fonts

  • Optional “buy us a coffee” tips are processed by Google Play. We only receive which tip was bought and its order status, never your payment details.
  • For Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil the app downloads a font file once from our server or from Google Fonts. Only standard connection details are sent.

9. Who processes the data

  • Google Cloud (our server)
  • Google Firebase (analytics, crash reports, notifications)
  • Google Gemini (support reply suggestions)
  • Cloudflare (DNS, this website and file storage)
  • Open-Meteo and Google Maps (weather and map on the stamp)

All data is sent encrypted (HTTPS).

10. How long we keep data

  • Live-map position: 24 hours.
  • Detailed usage records: 90 days.
  • Daily activity records: 13 months.
  • Totals without personal data (for example photos per day): kept longer.
  • Support tickets and shared stamp setups: until you ask us to delete them.

11. Deleting your data

There is no account. To have the data linked to your phone deleted, send a request from the app (Settings → Send feedback) or email support@freegpsmapcamera.com. We delete the records linked to your install id within 30 days and confirm by reply. Step-by-step instructions: Delete my data.

12. What we never do

  • Show ads or use an advertising id
  • Sell your data
  • Access your contacts, messages, call log or other files
  • Upload your photos or videos unless you send them yourself or attach them to feedback

13. This website

freegpsmapcamera.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The only form on it is the iPhone waitlist (section 14). It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. Links to Google Play carry a campaign label so we can count installs that came from the website.

14. iPhone waitlist

If you ask to be told when the iPhone app launches, we store the email address and the name you give (optional), your country (from your connection) and the page you signed up on. We use them only to send that one launch email, then delete them. Ask us any time to delete them sooner.

15. Children’s privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

16. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the app changes. The current version is always at this address and linked from the app’s settings. Earlier versions were published on neutrosolutions.com.
